{"id":1481,"date":"2024-01-23T21:53:52","date_gmt":"2024-01-23T21:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/?p=1481"},"modified":"2024-01-23T21:59:41","modified_gmt":"2024-01-23T21:59:41","slug":"maestro-media-preps-for-slew-of-new-board-game-releases-with-flat-river-group-distribution-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2024\/01\/23\/maestro-media-preps-for-slew-of-new-board-game-releases-with-flat-river-group-distribution-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Maestro Media preps for slew of new board game releases with Flat River Group distribution partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Maestro Media, the publishing company adapting IPs such as Hello Kitty and video game The Binding of Isaac to the tabletop, is preparing for a string of new releases by signing a global distribution deal with Flat River Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maestro made a name for itself in 2018 when it teamed up with Edmund McMillen, the creator of The Binding of Isaac video game, to launch a Kickstarter for a board game version &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/isaacfoursouls\/the-binding-of-isaac-four-souls\">a campaign which raised over $2.6m<\/a>, followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/isaacfoursouls\/the-binding-of-isaac-4-souls-requiem\">another $6.7m through a crowdfunded expansion three years later<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new agreement sees Flat River take on responsibility for managing sales, marketing, and events for Maestro\u2019s English catalogue, which also includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/maestromedia\/hello-kitty-day-at-the-park\">recent Kickstarter project Hello Kitty: Day at the Park<\/a> and the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2023\/07\/19\/i-began-to-be-a-little-bored-by-designing-games-why-launching-a-board-game-publishing-house-has-renewed-7-wonders-creator-antoine-bauzas-spark\/\">Antoine Bauza<\/a> co-design Smurfs\u2019 Hidden Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those games, as well as Sally Face: Strange Nightmares and Streamer Standoff, are set to be showcased at GAMA Expo at the beginning of March before officially launching in the second half of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Javon Frazier, founder and CEO of Maestro Media, said, &#8220;Maestro Media is embarking on an exhilarating new chapter in licensing and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Hello-Kitty-Day-At-The-Park.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1484\" width=\"469\" height=\"326\" srcset=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Hello-Kitty-Day-At-The-Park.png 600w, https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Hello-Kitty-Day-At-The-Park-300x209.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 469px) 100vw, 469px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our aspiration is to extend the beloved Binding of Isaac: Four Souls to a broader audience, while introducing Sally Face: Strange Nightmares, Hello Kitty: Day at the Park, and The Smurfs Hidden Village &#8211; delivering a fresh spectrum of thrilling products in partnership with some of the globe&#8217;s foremost brands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Flat River Group is the ideal partner to propel us toward these expansive horizons.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jules Vautour, VP of hobby and business development for Flat River, added, &#8220;I am thrilled to begin our partnership with Maestro Media.
