the Romans, the Han dynasty, Greece or Carthage &#8211; before assembling multiple units from cardboard &#8216;rank&#8217; tiles and sending them into battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osprey says games should take between 20 and 45 minutes to play out &#8211; a strategy clearly inspired by the publisher&#8217;s success in reimagining traditional miniatures-focused combat gaming through its quick-playing Undaunted series of deckbuilders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image002.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1826\" width=\"497\" height=\"497\" srcset=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image002.jpg 570w, https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image002-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image002-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An Osprey spokesperson told BoardGameWire, &#8220;War of the Ancients is all about accessibility &#8211;
