PAX Unplugged<\/a>, one of the largest tabletop gaming events in the world, has announced it will take place between December 1 and December 3 this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Philadelphia-based event has more than 30,000 attendees and over 70 exhibitors according to data from exhibition organiser ReedPop, which created PAX Unplugged in 2017 following the success of tabletop segments of its more video game-focused PAX events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those numbers are well above the 11,600 attendees at the Origins Game Fair last summer, although is still short of the roughly 50,000 people that attended Gencon in August last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAX Unplugged features a large hall where publishers and studios demonstrate their new games, as well as tournaments and a hugely varied array of panels covering the board gaming and roleplaying game industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panel schedules for this year’s event have not yet been released. Last year’s standout panels included newly-anointed Kickstarter<\/a> CEO Everette Taylor talking about tabletop gaming fits into the crowdfunding giant’s future plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
