Games Workshop<\/a>‘s global sales are set to reach a record \u00a3440m for the current financial year – double the amount it reached just five years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FTSE 250-listed business said it expected core revenue – the sales from its miniatures lines, paints, brushes and other gaming accessories – to rise from the \u00a3387m recorded in 2021\/22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Licensing income is set to come in slightly down on the \u00a328m from the last financial year, at an estimated \u00a325m for 2022\/23, while pre-tax profit is slated to be at least \u00a3170m, up from \u00a3157m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company’s full results for the 2022\/23 financial year will be published in its annual report on July 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Games Workshop’s half year report from January had hinted at a continuation of snowballing revenues from the listed gaming giant – but despite acknowledging impressive sales growth at that time, the company had cautioned that the number “isn’t where we wanted it to be”, particular with flat growth in the US year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The impressive figures will not include the hefty rollout of the latest Warhammer 40,000 iteration, which launched this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 10th edition’s introductory boxed set, Leviathan, sold out through Games Workshop’s official online portal just two days into its two-week long pre-order window, despite efforts from the company to increase supply and cut out scalpers from picking up large numbers of copies for resale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
