the debut title from designers Samuele Tabellini Ferrari and Vieri Masseini &#8211; comes hot on the heels of the title <a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/13\/i-should-have-brought-a-trailer-999-games-scoops-double-win-as-bomb-busters-botanicus-pick-up-dutch-game-of-the-year-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">taking home the Connoisseurs Game award at the Dutch language Nederlandse Spellenprijs<\/a>, and follows the game <a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2024\/06\/13\/sky-team-captain-flip-in-the-footsteps-of-darwin-set-for-sales-boost-after-being-unveiled-as-this-years-spiel-des-jahres-award-nominees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">scoring a &#8216;recommended&#8217; to Eric Olsen&#8217;s card-flipping numbers game Flip 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The jury said, &#8220;The game reimagines the classic Italian card game 7 e mezzo [aka 21, Blackjack] introducing smart tweaks to make it more interactive while preserving its accessibility and fun.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The jury praised the game&#8217;s brisk pace, high approachability, and scalability making it ideal for large groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2023\/11\/08\/challengers-adds-to-string-of-awards-by-taking-home-italian-game-of-the-year-prize\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Last year&#8217;s Gioco dell\u2019Anno was won by Challengers<\/a>, four months <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiel-des-jahres.de\/en\/games\/challengers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">after it won the Kennerspiel des Jahres<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards were announced at this year&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/lucca2025.luccacomicsandgames.com\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Lucca Comics &amp;
