the biggest community-voted board game award in Germany &#8211; Dice Tower Awards for game of the year, best strategy game and best new designer, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2025\/05\/08\/arcs-wins-big-in-2024-golden-geek-awards-seti-brings-home-pair-of-prizes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Golden Geek heavy game of the year and thematic game awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The win for SETI also marked a debut Gouden Ludo for fledgling Dutch publisher DSV Games, which was launched two years ago by online shop De Spelletjes Vrienden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s Gouden Ludo for best family game went to Johannes Goupy and Corentin Lebrat design Faraway, having made its way to Belgium and the Netherlands through publisher White Goblin Games two years after its initial release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fantasy-themed card game adds the Gouden Ludo to its <a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2024\/01\/30\/here-are-the-12-games-fighting-it-out-for-frances-biggest-board-gaming-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">As d\u2019Or French board game prize win last year<\/a>, and the Swiss Gamers Award from 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s Gouden Ludo also featured the return of the best two-player game award for the first time since 2013, which was won by Luc Remond&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/boardgamewire.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/23\/sky-team-crowned-spiel-des-jahres-winner-for-2024-daybreak-takes-kennerspiel-prize\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spiel des Jahres-winning<\/a> design Sky Team against competition from The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gouden Ludo has been awarded each year since 2009, when Matt Leacock\u2019s Pandemic became the first to win the prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entries must be Dutch-language games which are relatively easy to find on the Flemish market, including specialised stores and web shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A jury narrows down publishers entries each year, which are then voted on by members of the Forum Federation and other Flemish gaming clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gouden Ludo winners and nominees 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family Game<br><strong>WINNER: Faraway &#8211;
