Voting has kicked off for BoardGameGeek<\/a>‘s 17th Annual Golden Geek Awards, with Blood on the Clocktower leading the nominations as a contender in five categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Return to Dark Tower and the second edition of John Company both have four nominations. The pair are going head to head against Blood on the Clocktower in the Artwork & Presentation, Innovative and Thematic categories in the 2022 awards, where voting has just gone live via this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Company is also up for the prestigious Heavy Game of the Year category, but faces stiff competition from strong nominees including Carnegie, Great Western Trail: Argentina and Revive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heat: Pedal to the Metal also picked up four nominations, while Wonderland’s War, Frostpunk: The Board Game and Mindbug: First Contact received three each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wingspan Asia, the latest expansion for 2019 Golden Geek Board Game of the Year winner Wingspan, is up for the 2-Player Game and Expansion categories, while both Dune: Imperium’s well-regarded expansions also got the nod for the latter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other games featuring in two different categories include Flamecraft, Resist! and Endless Winter: Paleoamericans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voting for the competition closes just before midnight Central Standard Time on May 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
