CMON, the crowdfunded board game specialist which left Kickstarter for rival Gamefound earlier this year, saw its profits soar to over $23m in 2023 amid a hefty drop in its sales-associated costs.

Mythic Games' fall from being one of the most successful crowdfunding-focused board game publishers of all time to one beset by financial woes has been swift. Mythic Games, formerly one of the most successful crowdfunding-focused board game publishers of all time, has given up producing two of its outstanding Kickstarter projects worth $3.2m in favour of selling the intellectual property rights to CMON.

CMON, the publisher of miniatures-heavy board games including Zombicide and Blood Rage, is planning to release new games this year based on the hit PlayStation series God of War and George R R Martin's Song of Ice & Fire fantasy novels.
