Another record attendance at North America's biggest board games industry trade show, GAMA Expo, has left the event pressed for space once again - just a year after the show was transported to Louisville in an attempt to handle surging interest.
UK Games Expo director Richard Denning has been organising the show since its foundation in 2007, when 900 gamers converged on a Birmingham conference centre. After a record 32,000 attendance last year, the event is now considering its future expansion - with Denning citing Gen Con's vast swathe of live entertainment as a key inspiration.
PAX Unplugged, one of the largest tabletop gaming events in the world, has announced it will take place between December 1 and December 3 this year.
A record number of people descended on tabletop gaming trade show GAMA Expo last week, although the number of retailers attending the event is still below pre-Covid levels, ICV2 reports.
