Ark Nova expansion named as Marine Worlds, will be available at Essen
Ark Nova’s first big box expansion has been revealed as Marine Worlds, and will be available at the Essen games fair in October this year.
The expansion for the zoo-building hit will introduce sea animals, alternate versions of the five action cards and new bonus and scoring tiles, as well as new wooden animal tokens for use in the game.
Marine Worlds was identified by its working title of Aquarius after being teased at GenCon in August last year.
Feuerland Spiele designer Bastian Winkelhaus said English and German copies will be available for purchase at Essen in October, before coming to retail in “many languages” in the weeks after.
Ark Nova sees players building a modern zoo, with huge importance placed on completing conservation projects in addition to filling enclosures with interesting animals.
The game is currently ranked fourth on BoardGameGeek, and holds a rating of 8.5.
The expansion is the second one released for Ark Nova, following a small map pack from late last year.
